    Sex Determination Chart

If 'X' chromosome from male gamete (22 + X) and 'X' chromosome from female gamete (22 + X) fuses then daughter (44 + XX) is born. Similarly, if 'Y' chromosome from male gamete (22 + Y) and 'X' chromosome from female gamete (22 + X) fuses then son (44 + XY) is born.

  3. Justify with suitable chart that women are not responsible to give birth only to daughters.
  4. Diagram:

In females, there is a XX chromosome and there is an XY chromosome in males. During fertilization, if the 'X' and 'Y' chromosomes get fused then a son is formed, if 'X' and 'X' chromosomes get fused then the daughter is formed. 'Y' is essential to give birth to the son which only men have, so women are not responsible to give birth to only to daughters.

  5. Draw diagrams for each Metacentric, Sub-metacentric, Acrocentric and Telocentric chromosome.
